While George Lucas may have named the Empire's short range ships TIE Fighters because they looked like bow ties, the smart kids back in the day all knew that TIE actually stood for Twin Ion Engines. I mean, how could he not know that? Well, it turns out that George was correct all along, because they really do look like these cool new Bow Tie Fighters. Inspired by the TIE Fighters from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, these fun, handmade bow ties feature the unique solar panel wings as the bows and the spherical cockpit pod with the iconic octagonal windows as the central knot. You can choose from the classic TIE Fighter design or go with the equally cool TIE Interceptor or Darth Vader's TIE Advanced variants. Unfortunately, there's no button on the back to press to pop the wings off... hmm, true nerds with impeccable fashion sense know what I'm talking about.
