Handcrafted at the edge of the Black Forest in Germany by father and son design team Otmar and Timo Horl, this unique knife sharpening system includes a neodymium magnetic wooden support that secures an inverted knife blade at the exact ideal 15 degree grinding angle and a two-sided solid wood grinding roller with a #430 (JIS) diamond grinding surface on one end and a grooved stainless steel whetting side for professional-grade smoothing and finishing on the other. Just roll the grinder along the edge of the blade for a few passes on each side for precision results on almost any style of knife, including serrated and Japanese Damascus knives.
