I don't know about you, but I like to be prepared when an emergency strikes. If there's a power outage, severe weather, a natural disaster or I just somehow get lost or stranded on a hiking trip, it would be nice to have an all-in-one device that could provide news, weather alerts, entertainment, light and most importantly power. So I decided to hunt down and find the ultimate emergency crank radio and I found something that is even more prepared for the worst than me!

The cool new Eton Solarlink FR600 just may be the ultimate emergency crank radio. First of all, it's completely self-powered. Simply turn the hand-crank power generator or just leave it out in the sun to harness the the sun's energy through a built-in solar panel on top of the handle. Second, it helps keep you well-informed and connected with digital AM/FM and Shortwave radio reception and all 7 NOAA weather band channels with S.A.M.E technology for location based weather alerts. Third, it has a USB charger for charging up your cell phone or other small electronic device. Fourth, it has a built-in super bright 4 LED flashlight with an emergency flashing beacon and finally, it even has an AUX-IN jack for connecting your MP3 player.

It's not only a handy item for unexpected emergencies, it's also great for the good times as well. Take it along when you go camping, hiking, boating or you just want to listen to music in the backyard when things are perfectly calm. I really want one of these, you know, just in case.
