The cool new Smartphone Controlled Helicopter is a mini remote control helicopter that's controlled via a free app on your iPhone, iPad or Android. The app uses the device's built-in wireless radio and motion-sensing accelerometers to precisely control the helicopter's forward/backward, left/right, and up/down movements and a simple swipe on the touchscreen controls the throttle. It works indoors or out, has a 60' range and the rechargeable battery provides 5 minute flight times via a 60-minute charge from the included USB charging cable. It sure beats the paper airplanes I made as a kid.
