A majestic redwood tree can grow over 200 feet tall, but the cool new Dawn Redwood Bonsai Kit scales one down to reasonable proportions for your home or office. The Dawn Redwood, once thought to be extinct until a Chinese forester found one in the middle of a rice field in the 1940s, can now be grown, er, safely indoors with this unique kit that includes everything you need to miniaturize a giant redwood including the soil, seeds, recycled-steel box for growing, bonsai scissors, and instructions. This desktop-sized redwood tree appears as it would in the wild, with a thick trunk, aged bark and it even loses its leaves in the Autumn, just don't let it get outdoors or it will utterly dominate your yard and the sky.
