Ridley Scott's Blade Runner is definitely one of my favorite movies of all-time. You just can't beat a good detective thriller set in a grungy futuristic Los Angeles where advertising has gone completely beserk, involving more human than human replicants on the loose. For all of the incredible visuals and unbelievable special effects there are to see (which still hold up to this day btw), this movie also delivers on so many interesting themes and underlying existential levels that really make you think. You can watch it over an over and amazingly always find a new layer to pull away.

Well, good news for all you fellow Blade Runner fans and soon to be fans, Ridley Scott and Warner Brothers have announced not only a new Final Cut of the film, but also a definitive Blade Runner : Five-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition that will be released on DVD, HD-DVD and Blu-ray on December 18, 2007! Finally! I'm totally going for the limited edition briefcase version of the ultimate collector's edition on Blu-ray. Check out the trailer below and feel free to discuss in the Comments below.
