LEGO Project Hail Mary Spacecraft - 830 Pieces!
If you haven't read Andy Weir's novel Project Hail Mary, then I suggest you pick it up now and finish it before the movie comes out soon. It's about the end of the world, a dying sun, and a race against time to save both with an intergalactic impossible mission to Tau Ceti led by one school teacher/molecular biologist/reluctant astronaut with amnesia, Ryland Grace. Oh, and an eyeless, spider-like rock alien named Rocky shows up too to steal the show... and your heart. Hmm, I guess that's a spoiler, but they spoil Rocky in the movie trailer! Anyways, now you can try to save the world from the solar energy-eating Astrophage by assembling this cool new LEGO Project Hail Mary Spacecraft.
This large 830-piece LEGO model kit lets you assemble a microscale replica of the Hail Mary spacecraft that also includes a functional display stand plus a Ryland Grace minifigure and a Rocky figure. Just like in the book, but with an updated design from the movie, the starship also lets you simulate its centrifugal gravity system by sending the crew module into orbit and spinning it with the built-in crank. Hmm, based on the crazy design for Rocky's spaceship from the book and the movie, I doubt we'll see a LEGO version of that unless they swap out Earth plastic for the Eridian super-material Xenonite. Check out the video below to watch the trailer, but, again, I really recommend reading the book first. βοΈπ§βππΎ
