PSYCHO Bates House - Handmade Miniature Model Under a Glass Dome
I guess I was around 7 years old when I was first introduced to the PSYCHO movies. It was October 28, 1984 and I was glued to the tv set watching a creepy, for me, episode of Knight Rider, Halloween Knight, where the spooky old Victorian house from Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO made a special guest appearance... along with the Silver Shamrock Pumpkin Mask from Halloween III... if you look closely. Well, anyways, that jump-started my love of the PSYCHO films, with the vastly underrated PSYCHO II being my personal favorite and PSYCHO III being a sleazy, fun guilty pleasure. There was a Part IV, a remake, and a TV series, but let's just push them into a desolate swamp and move on.
While you can't purchase the actual Bates house or the matching motel in real life since it's just a set on the Universal Studios lot, you can buy a scaled-down version to look at and enjoy anytime you wish, even through a peephole, with this cool new yet quite retro Bates House Model from Cult Art Co.
This handmade miniature model depicts the spooky and decrepit old Bates house up on top of the hill and under an always stylish glass dome with a wooden base. The infamous old Victorian mansion and the iconic stairs leading down the hill to the Bates Motel (not included) are all there in realistic model detail. Hmm, Norman Bates' elderly mother seems to be missing from sitting by her bedroom window. She must be busy down at the motel... again! πΏπ΅π»πͺπ±π©Έ
