General Mills Twinkles Cereal Returns from the 1960's
General Mills discontinued the popular 1960's Twinkles Cereal in 1973, but now they're bringing it back for a very limited time to Walmart stores. Featuring the original mascot Twinkles the Elephant on the box, this super retro cereal has star-shaped toasted corn pieces infused with tasty vanilla and butter cookie flavors. While the original Twinkles Cereal used to include an actual storybook with flippable pages on the back of the package with adventure stories of Twinkles and friends, this new version has a built-in board games on the back of the box with game pieces on the side to cut out instead.
I've never even heard of Twinkles Cereal before, but for many out there reading this, it should bring some fun nostalgia back to the breakfast table. I just hope it starts a new trend of bringing back other beloved discontinued cereals like Pac-Man Cereal, C-3PO's Cereal, Smurf-Berry Crunch Cereal, Mr. T Cereal, Ice Cream Cones Cereal, Nintendo Cereal System, etc. Hmm, anything but Urkel-O's! π€π₯£π
