Wish you could explore the endless liminal space, labyrinthine nightmare of empty, pale yellow wallpapered rooms, creepy long dark hallways and corridors, unsettling blind corners, impossible architecture, humming fluorescent lights, random malformed furniture (sometimes coming out of the walls, floor, or ceiling), random glitched humans, and possibly other monstrous entities lurking in the Backrooms, but can't find the hidden entrance? Well, now you can at least enjoy the possible scent of this phobia-you-didn't-know-you-had-inducing realm by lighting this cool new yet quite 1990s-inspired Backrooms Scented Candle from A24 Films and Joya.

I'm sitting here right now, sniffing and pondering this sickly yellow soy wax candle in a glass jar adorned with the iconic Backrooms yellow wallpaper pattern, while listening to the soundtrack on vinyl. It smells scary and not quite right, yet very familiar. It's vaguely described as having notes of metallic hiss, ash, humidity, sweetness, electrical overload, and signal deformation, but to my nose, it has the absolute weirdest scent. It's borderline foul and ultra-clean at the same time, and I can't stop re-sniffing it. It smells like a long-forgotten childhood scent memory of something like a stuffy doctor's office, an early classroom, a department store, an office building, a hotel with an indoor pool... It's something from the past. Definitely a place with no airflow. I can sort of smell old carpeting, dust, high humidity, janitorial cleaning products, and there's a mildly jolting scent of electricity, like metallic ozone. You just want to open the windows and let some fresh air in fast.

Hmm, hopefully sniffing this extradimensional-scented candle didn't send a glitched copy of me with 3 sets of eyes to the Backrooms. I better go look in the mirror to make sure I'm not that copy. *sniff* It's so bizarre! 🕯️😱
