Crush Back to the 90s Big Troppa Punch Soda
Frosted tips, slap bracelets, extreme everything, grunge music, boy bands, Jennifer Aniston's stupid hairdo, the Y2K panic, the Macarena, waterbeds, cassette-to-CD player car adapters, chain-smoking, Jerry Springer, endless TV catchphrases, Jonathan Taylor Thomas, cringe fashion trends, pagers... the 1990s were kinda ridiculous. However, I'm not quite sure what is so 1990s about this cool new Crush Back to the 90s Big Troppa Punch Soda.
The name might be referencing the Big Poppa song from The Notorious B.I.G., and, I guess, tropical fruit punch was a popular flavor back then, like Hawaiian Punch, Hi-C, Kool-Aid, Capri Sun Pacific Cooler, etc. All I know is that this retro(ish) Crush soda has a bold tropical fruit punch flavor and there's a pineapple, orange, and strawberry spray-painted onto a seriously cool-looking can, which was also a very 90s thing when Pepsi released their glorious Cool Cans in the summer of 94. If they really wanted to make this more 90s, they should have at least made it a crystal-clear soda, but they went with a 1980s neon pink color instead. None of it really makes any sense, so I guess that sums up the 90s perfectly.
Hmm, if anything, I guess I'm old enough now to put a heavy splash of rum into this nostalgically hip tropical fruit punch soda in a cool, collectible can... and drown my sorrows of just learning that I missed out on last year's way cooler, limited-edition Crush Back To The 80s Electric Blue Razz Soda, in an equally cool, collectible can.
