A polyomino is a geometric shape made up of a finite number of equal-sized edge-to-edge squares. These shapes come in different varieties, such as monominos, dominos, trominos, tetrominos, pentominos, and so on. Everyone knows dominos, so let's focus on the tetrominos. These shapes are composed of four squares that are connected orthogonally and were the inspiration for Russian game designer Alexey Pajitnov's mid-80's video game hit Tetris, even though he referred to them as Tetriminos. While I never got to play the original computer version, I fondly remember playing the Nintendo GameBoy version, a lot.

Well, Tetris wasn't the only famous geometric shape-inspired puzzle from the 1980s. There was also the original Rubik's Cube, which is now considered one of the most iconic symbols of this never-endingly popular decade. So, it's only fitting that these two classic brain-teasing puzzles have finally come together in this cool new yet quite retro Rubik's Tetris Cube.

Unlike the original solid-colored 3x3 Rubik's Cube, this fun new version challenges you to twist and turn the colorful cubed sides, possibly forever, until you restore six of the seven tetromino, er, Tetrimino shapes on each side. The seventh long I-Tetrimino shape is the stand itself, to proudly display the cube once solved. Hmm, obviously listening to the original Tetris theme music while trying to solve this puzzle cube might help.
