LEGO The Goonies Inferno Pirate Ship - 2,912 Pieces!
Hey, you guys! Think you're good enough to be a Goonie? Do you know how to do the Truffle Shuffle? Want to hunt for pirate treasure on the greatest adventure a kid could ever have? Do you still love watching The Goonies to this day? Then check out this cool new yet quite 1985-inspired LEGO The Goonies Inferno Pirate Ship.
While not quite as large as One-Eyed Willy's π€ full-scale Inferno pirate ship built for the movie, this scaled-down LEGO model of it is still huge at 2,912 pieces. Once assembled, you can turn it to one side to show off the pirate ship's detailed exterior with Sloth and Chunk sliding down the mast on the deck or flip it around to reveal different iconic scenes from the movie. It has Willy's treasure room, the Fratellis' hideaway with a secret fireplace entrance to the caves below, Sloth's dungeon, the falling boulders cave trap, use the Copper Bones Skeleton Key to activate the trap door, the spike cave, the wishing well, the skeleton organ with falling floor (don't accidentally play the wrong notes), and a waterslide out the back to a waiting gigantic octopus, who was unfortunately cut out of the final movie, but you can watch the deleted scene here. Hmm, where's the part where Mama Fratelli threatens to put Chunk's hand in the blender? Oh, never mind, it's hilariously in there too! It also includes 12 LEGO minifigures of all the key characters from the movie, including Data with all his inventions and gadgets, but the Statue of David with an upside-down, uh, member is surprisingly missing.
So crank up Cyndi Lauper's The Goonies 'R' Good Enough (weirdest music video ever), put on a red bandana and a pirate's eye patch, and have some Baby Ruth candy bars at the ready as you attempt to assemble this nostalgic icon from an awesome 1980's childhood.
Goonies never say die! ππ΄ββ οΈ
