This cool new yet quite 1970's-inspired LEGO Icons Shuttle Carrier Aircraft and Space Shuttle Enterprise is a 2,417-piece LEGO model set that lets you construct the Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) that was used by NASA to transport Space Shuttle orbiters on its back, including the test shuttle Enterprise (pre-Kirk) that was actually released during flight for a gliding test.

This iconic piece of aerospace history features an intricately detailed fuselage with the classic NASA worm logo (my favorite), a space shuttle mounting system, and deployable 18-wheel landing gear, while the piggy-backing NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise has an attachable tail cone and detachable engines and landing gear stowed away inside its cargo bay. It also includes a stand to proudly put it on display and informational plaques for each.
