When somethin' strange is goin' on in your neighborhood... and it don't look good... who ya gonna call? 911, of course! The 1984 horror-comedy Ghostbusters was a perfect lightning-in-a-bottle movie at the time, so, of course, I dressed up as a Ghostbuster in a homemade costume that Halloween... and basically the entire summer after it was released, leading up to it. I mean, who wouldn't want to bust ghosts with a proton pack, live in a firehouse with your best friends, get paid to be obnoxious and destructive, and drive around in the Ecto-1?

As of this writing in 2026, Ghostbusters came out over 40 years ago, and the Ectomobile, AKA Ecto-1, was built from a modified 1959 Cadillac ambulance/hearse that is now almost 70 years old. Yet, after all that time, the movie's popularity and the vehicle's iconic design continue to hold up to this day. So, this Halloween, er, I mean Spooky Season, now you can park the Ghostbusters' famous wheels right on your front lawn, in your driveway or garage, or in front of your firehouse, if you're the Fire Chief, with this cool new yet quite retro-inspired Full-Sized Inflatable Ghostbusters Ecto-1 vehicle.

This massive inflatable replica of the Ecto-1 is 21 feet long and 7 feet tall and comes complete with its signature roof equipment and Ghostbusters detailing, except they forgot the whitewall tires. It's constructed from durable, fully printed windbreaker fabric, has internal LED lights to illuminate it at night, has a continuous blower fan to keep it inflated, and includes ground tethers and stakes to keep it from terrorizing the entire neighborhood on a windy day or being driven off with by a supernatural zombie skeleton taxi driver. Check out the video below to see it in action.

Hmm, as I've gotten older, I think I side more with the Environmental Protection Agency inspector Walter Peck character at this point. The paranormal ghost-busting technology is still as cool today as it was then, but it was unlicensed, unregulated, and had the potential to end all life as we know it by stopping it instantaneously as every molecule in our bodies exploded at the speed of light. That's bad. Walter Peck was right! πŸ‘»πŸš”
