As I write this, coincidentally, while watching the new werewolf horror flick The Cycle (so far, so good), outside my office window here at Green Head Headquarters is a spectacular October Full Moon, also known as the Hunter's Moon. Being the week before Halloween just makes looking up at the Full Moon even creepier for me, because (this is embarrassing) I'm still afraid of werewolves. Sure, werewolves are nothing more than legendary creatures of the night mentioned in folklore going back to ancient times (Anubis, anyone!?), but where there's smoke, there's fire, and I have an active imagination. Werewolves or not, why risk being easier to spot in the bright Full Moon light, like easy prey for any other voracious beasts lurking out there in the shadows? I already heard some dog out there, somewhere, howling at the moon. So, yeah, I'll just wait until sunrise to take the trash out. There should be way fewer bitey vampires out then, too.

Anyways, there's still time to get into the Halloween, er, I mean Spooky Season decorative vibe by projecting a large, sinister shadow of a vicious werewolf onto the side of your house, garage door, fence, wide tree trunk, or even up into a cloudy night sky to terrify the entire neighborhood (if you can shine enough lumens at it) with this cool new Werewolf Outdoor Shadow Caster from Haunted Haven Finds (there's also a cool Alien too). Stake this handmade acrylic werewolf silhouette into your lawn, then position a bright outdoor spotlight (not included) behind it to cast its shadow and subtle red eyes. Adjust as needed to make the werewolf's shadow bigger or smaller.

Hmm, a werewolf is traditionally shown as an individual who shapeshifts into a wolf or wolf/human hybrid creature on a Full Moon, but I want to see a werewolf movie where a cursed wolf transforms into a human during the day and is all confused why everyone is staring at it walking through the mall naked as it tries to hunt down the scent of the food court. Oh, and then, when in human form, it gets bitten by a vampire, a normal werewolf, or both... I don't know what happens next. There's a good movie there somewhere. πŸΊπŸŒ•
