Giant Spirograph Outdoor - Creates Jumbo Sidewalk Chalk Spiral Designs
I haven't played with a Spirograph geometric drawing toy in a really, really long time, but I can still remember pushing that rotating gear around the inside of the wheel with a pencil to make the fun spiral designs, also known as hypotrochoids and epitrochoids. There's just a weird, tactile, and oddly satisfying feel to the gear movement that's very memorable. Well, forget making drawings of mathematical roulette curves on a little piece of paper, because now the entire driveway and sidewalk are your canvas to draw spiral works of art on with this cool new Giant Spirograph Outdoor from Play Monster.
This giant-sized version of the Spirograph allows you to create huge 15-inch spiral drawings outdoors using simple jumbo sidewalk chalk. To use, just snap together the oversized outer wheel, place the large orange drawing gear inside the frame, grab a stick of the included chalk and place it into one of the holes in the gear, and then move the gear around the inside of the wheel over and over and over again until the spiral design is complete. You can also use multiple chalk colors to create different layers in your design by using different holes. After turning all the concrete around your home into a masterpiece, it can be easily cleaned off with the hose or naturally by rainfall. Speaking of rain, they also make a Giant Spirograph Indoor version too, for rainy days.
Hmm, I don't know about you, but even though it's designed for kids, I kinda want to go outside and mindlessly make gigantic geometric sidewalk-chalk spirals on the driveway now, too. At this point, anything is better than staring at these endless glowing screens all day, so I guess thanks for stopping by TheGreenHead.com while using one of them. π
