Want to grow fresh basil on your kitchen windowsill? Just crack an egg! This cool new Eggling from Japan is an extra-large ceramic egg with a top that can be gently cracked open with a spoon to reveal potting mix and organic seeds to sprout and grow fresh basil. Once opened, just sprinkle water on top, place it on the included terracotta tray, and then place it in a warm, sunny spot until it sprouts - no need to sit on it until it hatches. Once it grows beyond the seedling stage, it can then be transplanted to a larger container or even a garden.
