North American Turkey Statue
Between Halloween, er, I mean Spooky Season, and Christmas, bah, I mean Holiday Season, there's now the HallowThanksMas Season, and Thanksgiving (about to become Gobble or Stuffing Season in 3, 2, 1...) falls right in the middle of it all. So after you tear down the 20 or so giant, non-spooky animatronic statues from your front lawn that you have no place to store in the off-season and finish off all the candy left behind as fewer and fewer trick-or-treaters arrive at your door each year, should you go ahead and put up the artificial Christmas tree early so you can at least get in another month of enjoyment from all the work it took to put it on display? Maybe, but try to give some love to the yet-to-become decorative, overblown holiday spectacle known as Thanksgiving by at least putting this cool new North American Turkey Statue from Design Toscano up in front of your house... or placing it on the dining table as an inedible centerpiece.
Before they become a tasty roasted feast on Thanksgiving, the majestic North American game bird known as the turkey, tom turkey, or gobbler, which is famous for its almost peacock-like tail feather plumage, its confident strutting, it's unusual fleshy facial appendages like the snood, caruncle, and wattle, it's long hair-like chest beard, it's 5000-6000 feathers, it's inability to fly (wild turkeys can fly as fast as 55 mph in limited, short bursts though), and it's shocking ability to be able to run as fast as 25 mph (I got chased by a gang of angry turkeys on a bike trail once and it was terrifying, like something out of Jurassic Park!), should be shown some proper respect. This realistic, indoor/outdoor turkey statue is hand-cast from real crushed stone bonded with a high-quality designer resin, then individually hand-painted by artisans. Yes, you can put a little Santa hat on it, if you must.
Hmm, there's so much going on from Halloween, er, I mean Spooky Season, to New Year's Eve, er, I mean New Year, New Me Night, that Thanksgiving is becoming my favorite underrated holiday of the year. All you have to do is cook, eat, drink, and, traditionally, argue with your family and friends for a few hours about homemade cranberry sauce versus cranberry-in-a-can before passing out in a turkey-induced coma. In other words, turkeys are great, so show them some appreciation this Stuffing Season (which is all anyone really wants anyway)!
Gobble! Gobble! π¦ππ΄
