When it comes to delicious buttery spreads for my morning toast, nothing beats, well, butter. I don't want any questionable artificial processed spreads, I want regular old-fashioned butter, except that refrigerated cold butter is such a pain to spread! The Butter Bell Butter Crock is an old-school solution to store butter and keep it fresh, soft and spreadable without refrigeration. Simply fill the bottom half of the stoneware crock with fresh cold water and pack the other half with a stick of butter. Now insert the butter half upside-down into the cold water and it creates an air-tight seal, keeping the butter soft and ready-to-go for up to 30 days. This proves that some modern technology isn't always the best solution.
