Nambe is a state-of-the-art, eight-metal alloy created at Los Alamos National Laboratory that retains both hot and cold temperatures for a long period of time, has the luster of silver, the solidity of iron, and a lower thermal conductivity than silver. It also looks really cool, as you can see with the Nambe Rocks Wine Rack. This luxuriously original wine rack by designer Neil Cohen fuses Nambe alloy with granite into a single gravity-defying sculptural display that stores up to five standard 750 ml wine bottles horizontally by their necks only.
