The Neverending Story Atreyu and Artax Swamps of Sadness Lawn Ornament
If you grew up in the awesome 80s, before the miserable dark ages of today, then you got to enjoy watching super traumatic and disturbing scenes play out in PG-rated kid's movies that were forever burned into your brain. Personally, I loved watching a beating heart getting ripped out of someone in The Temple of Doom, a face getting torn off in Poltergeist, cabinets full of severed heads in Return to OZ, and, of course, the Gremlins dying in truly disgusting and horrific ways. None of that was nearly as upsetting though as watching a depressed horse slowly sink into the dreary Swamps of Sadness and drown simply because it was sad and lost the will to live, in The Neverending Story.
Well, now you can relive that traumatic moment every single time you step out of your house or water your houseplants when you stake down this cool new yet quite 1984-inspired Atreyu and Artax Lawn Ornament... or just watch the watch the video clip below. This fun, two piece decoration includes the young warrior hero Atreyu and his loyal horse Artax with stakes on the bottom to stick them into the soil (or a muddy swamp) and leather reins to connect them, but not for very long. It's also a great reminder that it's ok to feel something and use your imagination, because without it... The NOTHING will consume us all. ⚫️
