Amazon Kindle 3
I love my iPad, but I'm simply too distracted by all the apps, games, videos, web, email, etc. to actually read any books on it and it's not sunshine friendly at all. The solution is a digital e-reader, but the price point on these cool e-ink devices has been much too steep for me until now.
The cool new Amazon Kindle 3 lowers the price to a temptingly affordable $139 for a wi-fi only version (3G version available) and incorporates many new features into a sleek new graphite design. In addition to an all-new, 50% higher-contrast e-ink screen with crisper, darker fonts it also features double the storage, 20% faster page turns, is 17% lighter with a 21% smaller body, incorporates a new WebKit-based Internet browser, has a soft-touch textured back and an enhanced PDF reader.
We all have so many books to catch up on and the savings of buying digital books will almost pay for this new Kindle over time and even cooler is that once you buy a book, you are then able to read it on all of your mobile devices that have the Amazon Kindle app as well. It uses Whispersync technology to synchronize your entire Kindle library and lets you pick up right where you left off on your Kindle on the go. Oh, if you're sick of reading, it even reads the book to you using text-to-speech technology. I'm sold!
