The Flexible Silicone Illuminated Keyboard ($27) would have been nice earlier this morning, when I spilled my coffee all over the keyboard for the umpteenth time. Not only is this cool new keyboard water-resistant, it also solves many of the problems that traditional keyboards have.

First of all, let's face it, traditional keyboards are disgusting. I don't even want to know what kind of germs, bacteria, viruses, creatures and other evolving biohazzards are living on and amongst the keys. This new keyboard however, is completely washable and hygienic, just give it a rinse. Secondly, I have somehow broken every keyboard I have ever owned. From the little tabs that angle it up breaking off, to various keys that just mysteriously break, something is always going wrong. This new flexible keyboard is made from silicone and is virtually indestructable. Finally, I can't type in the dark and instead of having to turn on a lamp, this keyboard has backlighting and fully illuminates the keys. I don't know how well this thing types, but it's just about perfect in every other regard.
