Using that toilet seat cover would certainly be a topic of interesting conversation from guests who visit!

Wendy, any nerd installing that thing has no friends and would never have any guests visiting his house.

Anonymous has not heard of the Renassaince Types. The Alabama Shakespeare Festival hosts a Renassaince Festival every year.

Believe me they are very abundant

Wendy,

Take that cold stone from your chest and replace it with a heart.

What’s gothic about a medieval shield toilet seat?

Absolutely nothing, but not for the reason that you put forth. The seat is not meant to represent a shield at all, but the flattened face of a greathelm, a helm used primarily during the 14th century with transitional plate and maille harnesses, not 15th-16th century gothic harnesses. And yes, “gothic” denotes a historical style and period, not just angst-ridden teenagers clad in black.

That being said, the seat is still a fine novelty product. I wouldn’t expect the producer of such an item to actually check their advertising for historical correctness.

I see this toilet seat as a great idea for my children’s bathroom, we have a great castle & princess knight theme going in their room and to extend this to their own bathroom seems wonderful…..I LOVE IT.

I happen to love this seat. It is unique—I have plenty of friends and they all would be glad to sit upon the master throne
