The Streamlight H.I.D. Litebox Flashlight ($750) just may be the world's brightest flashlight, but if you are a regular reader, you know this statement changes from month to month. This incredible flashlight can light up objects a full mile away because it produces 3,350 lumens from a high-intensity discharge (H.I.D.) Xenon lamp, which is the same HID technology found in stadium lights and aircraft landing lights. Like always, the problem with these super flashlights is always battery runtime, but this one, on a full 10 hour charge, provides up to 13/4 hours of operation from its rechargeable lead-acid battery. This is definitely the ultimate in heavy-duty, rechargeable, portable high-intensity discharge search flashlights -- so far!  -  7 Comments Tweet This on Twitter Share on FaceBook

Yeah, like very many people would spend that type of money for a flashlight. Perhaps $200 but not this much.

$750.00 !!! Hope that's a typo. I can get a 3,500 lumen beam (about 25mm candlepower) for $100. It comes with indicator charge lights and shuts down when fully charged.

1 3/4 an hour runtime. That's good. Most run for less than an hour with 3350 lumens of power.

I have a 5000 lumen that is not a lantern style... its a true flashlight that costs $200. It is fully submersible in water (60 meters) also. The diameter of the lens is 4"
