Pineapples always look so tropically delicious in the store, until you get it home and realize how much work it really is to remove that tough outer shell. It's not even worth all the trouble, so you just let the pineapple become a decoration on your counter for a week. Well I found a cool kitchen gadget that makes coring and slicing pineapples a breeze, the Vacu Vin Stainless Steel Pineapple Easy Slicer. Simply cut off the top of the pineapple and twist the Pineapple Easy Slicer clockwise like a corkscrew. One turn per pineapple slice or do the whole pineapple. Next, just lift up and the pineapple flesh will be free of the shell, already sliced into rings and cored. Plus you can then use the pineapple shell as a serving bowl or for a tropical drink.
