Java Logs ($36) are amazing new fireplace starter logs that are made from recycled coffee grounds rather than wood. These logs actually burn hotter, cleaner, brighter and longer than traditional wooden logs and are much better for the environment. They use 14% less C02 emission than other manufactured logs, reduce landfill waste, produce a natural mild sweet aroma rather than a chemical scent and have 50% less soot build-up in the chimney. Each log provides a 3 hour burn time and are simple to light. It's too bad they don't actually give off a fresh-brewed coffee scent though.  -
