Java Logs ($36) are amazing new fireplace starter logs that are made from recycled coffee grounds rather than wood. These logs actually burn hotter, cleaner, brighter and longer than traditional wooden logs and are much better for the environment. They use 14% less C02 emission than other manufactured logs, reduce landfill waste, produce a natural mild sweet aroma rather than a chemical scent and have 50% less soot build-up in the chimney. Each log provides a 3 hour burn time and are simple to light. It's too bad they don't actually give off a fresh-brewed coffee scent though.  -  4 Comments Tweet This on Twitter Share on FaceBook

The only plus I see from this is the aroma it would give off.
I like the old newspaper logs myself.

Actually the aroma is quite nice. Other plus is that it does burn longer its nicer on my chimmey, does not make my stove window black like duraflame and the others much better then old newspaper rolls for heating a house. I like them I use them to heat a 2200 sq ft home with wood in the night time hours. Saves on gas, electric bills in the winter months. Down side the price and finding them!
