I'm a total coffee lover, but I absolutely hate burning my mouth trying to take a sip when it's still scalding hot. Even worse, I hate spilling it all over myself, which is quite frequently. I usually have to just sit and wait before I can enjoy my first sip. I found this awesome new thermal travel mug called the BRUGO Travel Mug ($20) that solves my problem in a revolutionary and quite simple way.

Just tip the BRUGO Travel Mug and your hot coffee quickly enters a patented Temperature Control Chamber where it is then instantly adjusted to the perfect temperature using thermodynamic technology. The remaining coffee in the BRUGO stays hot. You can even set the BRUGO to bypass the chamber if you just want to use it as a traditional coffee mug. Lots of great colors (I ordered Dusk), perfect temperatures, 100% spill proof and stainless steel make absolutely 100% Green head Recommended!

3 BRUGO Settings:

  • LOCK : Completely sealed and 100% spill proof
  • TIP & COOL : Enjoy the full benefits of the Temperature Control Chamber
  • SIP : Bypass the Temperature Control Chamber (traditional mug function)

  • Patented, 1 oz. Temperature Control Chamber
  • 3-position drink mode selector
  • Double-wall insulation
  • Fits most cup holders
  • No-slip bottom
  • Choice of attractive, stylish colors
  • Stainless Steel and Chrome finish
  • 16-ounce capacity
  • Ergonomic grip
  • Lifetime warranty

So… has anyone actually seen one of these mugs? I’m curious about how it works. Does it actually cool your coffee or tea faster? Seems to me the bottom part is insulated and the top part isn’t, so it cools faster. One website said that the mug cooled the top ounce in seconds, but that doesn’t seem right. I’m compelled to get one myself just to see how it works and if it works well.

I just received my Brugo mug yesterday and used it this morning for the first time. I didn’t really care for the “Tip & Cool” feature. I didn’t seem to get enough coffee. I have been using the “Sip” selection and it is cool enough to drink immediately. I am very impressed and will probably order another mug soon.

>.> Darrell, the sip feature simply runs the coffee right through without cooling it at all..
