Sam's Club has this item for $49. The one they have actually supports 8 upside down plants, so I put in 2 cherry tomato plants, two early girl tomato plants, 2 cucumbers, and 2 red bell peppers. They seem to be doing well, but it's only been four days since I planted them...So far, this is a dream come true for a gardener who has had two knee replacements and can't get down on the ground anymore. I'm considering buying a second one so I can plant some eggplants. ;-)

Upside-Down Tomato Garden
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
Does anyone know whether or not these work better than the home made alternatives? I am leaning towards buying one because they look much more attractive than some photos I've seen of homemade selections, but I am kind of looking for a side-by-side comparison, you know? Any help would be appreciated.

Upside-Down Tomato Garden
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I'm getting this for my 86 year old mother for Mother's Day. She is still an ardent gardener who lives for that first ripe tomato off the vine. This is so perfect for her!

Upside-Down Tomato Garden
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
My tomatoes even survived a transplant from right-side-up to up-side-down! (Yes, I was THAT dumb--couldn't figure how the flowers and all would get through the little holes when the plants were growing upward. Now topped with herbs, the tomatoes are upside-down and the planter is a marvel.

Upside-Down Tomato Garden
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
wow this thing can grow a lot of tomatoes. The upside down effect makes more sense too. I love the whole idea.

I bought one awhile ago and its a great grower and you get a lot of good size tomatoes. When its windy outside the tomatoes hold up much better hanging down instead of trying to hold themselves up.

With tomatoes costing us around $7/pound this winter, this is totally worth it.
