I bought the deluxe for using on my Great Dane and it was a total pain. Only once in a while would I be able to get it to work. I sent it back being totally frustrated with it. I wouldn't recommend anyone getting this one. Maybe they will come out with a better version in the future.

The easiest and most simple way to cut a cat's claws is wrapping them up tightly and snuggly in a towel..like a straight jacket. They are then free to complain and freak out as much as they like..without scratching you. I take out one paw at a time while holding the cat snuggly in it's makeshift straightjacket. I have never found any problem avoiding the quick of cats as their nails are clear- thus allowing the quick to be very visible.

Tried a different version of the quickfinder (their first model). It was awful. When I took it back to return it, the clerk told me every one they sold was returned. It's a great idea...but...at least the basic model didn't work at all.
