People unable to get around much by themselves, and caretakers for those people, would love this product. I'm buying one for my elderly father's use next to his recliner, and for my caretaker mother's convenience.

Anyone who doesn’t like this does not eat many nuts. Until I gave one of these to my husband I was forever digging shells out of his chair and ashtrays were always spilling over with shells. Or, even worse, he’d put the shells in with the good nuts – drove me crazy having to pick them out. Everyone I’ve given one to absolutely loves them.

I do agree that this product lacks purpose. It is good that there are twin baskets available for those who would like twin baskets but can not make a basket, or something. For me, I would just eat out of the peanut bag, and throw the shells in a bucket or something. I suppose there has to be products out there for rich mothers that have to spend their money on anything that they see….

nobody ever puts out a waste basket for me. The nuts are usually in a bowl on a table with no dedicated shell basket.
