Nice idea though 45 K is too much money. Also looks cramped with no keyboard or place for it. Having said that if you have a wife or husband that likes to bug you it could be more cost effective than divorce.

well, it is definatly a lot of money. you would be better off buying a house... but then it does come with a tv and stuff the space in there is prety cramped,too i say save your money, and buy something way nicerthat thnig is a waste of money

I have the 1980's prototype of this (nor Maclarens) created in a lab in California it looks more like a tiny airstream trailer, but also has the tv, stereo, and also body monitoring equipment (heart pulse etc) and a very small lazyboy. Just stumbled across this blog about the Oculas, interesting seeing all your thoughts and ideas - the photo's shown are the old version which was pretty basic but it was used to perfect the interior ergonomics. It is now slightly bigger with a lot more technology built in, the photo shown with me in it was from 2004 and was just the test shell with hardly any technology or interior trim etc. If anyone is interested you can see more info about it in a couple of weeks when we launch the new website - www.theoculas.com. I agree. I think that the car idea is genious. I would use an old shaggin’ wagon with shag carpet, and I would set up my stereo, a small refridgerator, and a small bookshelf. oh yeah, and effective lighting. This way, your isolation pod can also isolate you with another person, get my drift?

You could also buy a old junked car, paint the windows black and run an extension cord to the inside for alot less. Plus this way would allow you to have one that fit you perfectly so its not just limited to those that are of average weight. Good idea but 45,000 is kinda alot for something that doesn’t go anywhere at all.
