This is a really great compost bin. It is easy to use. Naturemill has come a long way since their first model - I saw them back in 2005 at a green festival when they first launched their initial model. Now their product looks very sleek and sophisticated. I read a review recently in the wall street journal and also they had a review on Opra a while ago so they must be good. The product is even available at my local Costco so I figure it must be pretty good. I bought one finally last month and it has been working very well ever since. It is so simple I am surprised they this wasn't invented years ago. Overall Naturemill is a good compost bin and I hope more people make compost at home.

NatureMill Plus - Automatic Kitchen Composter
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I own the newer model XE Naturemill Plus. It is fantastic. It is quiet and doesn't smell. The reviews have all been good and same for me.

NatureMill Plus - Automatic Kitchen Composter
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I have the newer model. It is similar to the one pictured here but a little different on the control panel. It works great.

NatureMill Plus - Automatic Kitchen Composter
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
Wow Paul! You got a great deal! You can download the instruction manual from their website naturemill dot com. Now they also recommend adding the pellets more often - you can get those from their website too. That step is fairly important I think. I paid the full $299 and bought it new from Target. It\'s the newer model which opens forward and has much better reviews in terms of the reliability of the transferring mechanisms. I\'ve made half a dozen batches of compost so far but I haven\'t figured out what to do with all that compost yet. It\'s just sitting in a heap in my yard. Surprisingly it does not attract flies or odors or raccoons. It is pretty much dried out. - Rick V.

NatureMill Plus - Automatic Kitchen Composter
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I just picked up a used naturemill unit yesterday for 50 bucks. I threw a couple handfuls of both dirt and sawdust into it last night along with everything I could find in the kitchen resembling food scraps and let \\\'er rip. You are supposed to let this first batch fester for a full week to get the \\\"cultures\\\" started. I chopped up corn husks, fruit and veggies, as well as some egg shells and flower petals that dropped off my rhoddies in the back yard. The mix seemed a little dry as it first turned over, but from all the reading I\\\'ve done it seems excess moisture is the biggest problem, so a little on the dry side is how it will roll for now.The previous owned said the unit had problems dumping the finished load. I ran it through a mixing and then dumping cycle before I started and it seemed to do what I expected. This is an early Jan 2007 model, the top opens sideways with a foot pedal. I\\\'m quite impressed with it at first look. It\\\'s very clean and sturdy, appears to be used very little, so we will see how well my fifty bucks was spent in a week or two. If anyone has an owners manual for this early generation model please feel free to give me a holler, I\\\'d like to know what the proper operation of the buttons are as it\\\'s just a common sense issue so far. Thanks, Paul 7v2d26d

NatureMill Plus - Automatic Kitchen Composter
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
Is having a composter that operates on electric in keeping with a sustainable lifestyle? I know that many facets of green living are pretty much a trade off in this technology based society. We can't have it all.

NatureMill Plus - Automatic Kitchen Composter
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
