Actually buying additional ones and just using the 4 will allow to basically have as many channels as you want at $50 or so a set.

Um besides that, these are all regular light strands, I am 16, me and my older sibs have done these lights for about 5 years. We have our tricks to getting them up there, my sister uses a baseball, my brother and i use slingshots, everyone buys their trees like these, we made them before even knowing about the premade ones, but we like making them ourselves, each tree is anywhere between 25 to tops 100 feet high. We just do this for kicks, drives our parents crazy.

Now if you purchaced two of these units would it now be a "8 channel" unit? So you could have 8 different effects with the music or would it still be just 4?

Just ordered 2 of these myself on eBay from homeclick for $53 now to setup the FM mod I saw and go from there does anyone have an FM mod they recommend to connect to the audio jack I'll install that will make things work descent without breaking the bank.

Checked with Mr Christmas support and they confirmed that additional receivers will work just fine. They dont sell seperately so you would need to buy a new set or sets and use just the receivers.

Is there any reason that you could not buy 2 sets and have double the receivers? I assume they are all on the same frequency of 434MHZ. This would allow double the wattage. Has anyone tried this or knows of a reason it would not work?

I purchased the wireless version from Lowes and wanted to have it run through an FM transmitter. To do so, I had to make a simple modification for an external audio Jack. I have put the full instructions on how to do this on my web site. www.rustykey.com/mrchristmasI hope to finish the lighting today and get the FM transmitter going, once that is complete, I'll video it and get it online for ya'll to see.
