Biodynamic is an agricultural systems approach based on the holistic principles of nature and its intrinsic relationship to minerals, plants, animals, humans and the cosmos. Practiced world-wide, this “whole-farm” approach has been in existence for generations but has gained widespread recognition only in the past century.Biodynamic methods work toward the development of the farm or garden as a balanced and sustainable unit. They include organic practices such as crop rotation, fertilization through composts and liquid manures, and increasing plant and animal biodiversity. Special plant, animal and mineral preparations are used and the rhythmic influences of the sun, moon, planets and stars are recognized and worked with where possible. These methods lead to a natural reduction of pests and diseases in plants and animals, and an increase in the nutritive and health giving value of food produced.Today, Biodynamic farms enhance the structure and nutrient cycles of soil and plants with the use of specific preparations which are ideally made from farm-sourced materials. The preparations are then aligned with the Biodynamic calendar.========================================================================How is Biodynamic different from organic? While both systems believe in healthy soil as a foundation for healthy plant life, there are some key differences. According to the Biodynamic Agricultural Association, at the heart of Biodynamic ... “is the idea of the farm as a self-contained evolving organism, whose life relies on home produced compost manures and animal feeds, and in which external inputs are kept to a minimum. Season for season such a farm develops its own resilient identity, builds long-term fertility and radiates health and vitality into its surroundings.”Biodynamic agriculture is a “whole-farm” approach. Every Biodynamic farm aims to become self-sufficient in compost, manures and animal feeds. All external inputs are kept to a minimum. Compost is treated with special herb-based preparations. Crop quality is improved using natural manure and quartz-based preparations. Ecological diversity is a goal of landscape management. An astronomical calendar is used to determine auspicious planting, cultivating and harvesting times.

Ambassador Organics - Biodynamic Coffee, Tea and Spices
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I have always enjoyed a good cup of tea. Having tried several different standard brands, I never considered what organic tea might taste like. The other day I tried the mint tea offering from Ambassador Organics. I have to tell you it was some of the finest tea I have ever consumed. The rich flavor was very pleasing and it left a satisfying taste in my mouth that called for another cup. Excellent product. Once you try it, you\'ll be hooked, organically speaking.

Ambassador Organics - Biodynamic Coffee, Tea and Spices
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
One of the great benefits of working in the packaging industry is testing and tasting of new products, oftwen times before they are even fully commercialized. I have not a devoted tea drinker but I will say that I may be soon becoming a convert. Ambassador Organic teas deliver some of the richest and purist tastes I have ever enjoyed. If this is the difference biodynamics makes, I love it! Thank you and I look forward to new flavors and additional products.

Ambassador Organics - Biodynamic Coffee, Tea and Spices
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I have tried the teas and I love them. My children even want to make the tea for them over hot coco. Go figure! I live in Evanston but I go to an independently owned coffee spot in Hyde Park, Third World Cafe, and I keep telling them to walk down the street or pick up the phone and call his neighbor, Ambassador Organics.... I also love the spices. My family is from the Bahamas so I put thyme on everything. I can't wait to dig into the other spices. I plan to send my mom aunts some of the spices and teas. Also, I am thinking about making nice, high quality gifts for customers or clients. Great products.

Ambassador Organics - Biodynamic Coffee, Tea and Spices
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
I've had occasion to try the teas by Ambassador Organics and I have to say they are the best and freshest teas on the market that I've tasted. I've had the Green tea and the Hibiscus and the flavor was bar none. Also, I loved the style of the tea bags, they kept their form and weren't a mess for the guests to dispose of. Our rep Cyndi Gloodt is very professional, listens to our needs and is suggestive in her sales.

Ambassador Organics - Biodynamic Coffee, Tea and Spices
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
According to the wikipedia: "Peaberry, also known as caracoli, is a type of coffee bean. Normally the fruit of the coffee plant develops as two halves of a bean within a single cherry, but sometimes only one of the two seeds gets fertilised so there is nothing to flatten it. This oval (or pea-shaped) bean is known as Peaberry. Typically around 5% of all coffee beans harvested are of this form."It's not that complicated to lookup information online in the "information age" people!

Ambassador Organics - Biodynamic Coffee, Tea and Spices
Click Here to Read Full Post and Comments
