This whimsical door stop by Arik Levy is rich in style but not in price. Each Gold Bar door stop is gold flash plated and is available for a limited time only. The inscribed date on each bar refers to the first day in which women were allowed to enter the London Stock Exchange in 1973. Arik Levy studied industrial design at the Art Center Europe (Switzerland) and graduated in 1991. He started his own firm "L-Design" with Pippo Lionni and is based in Paris. Arik has designed for a number of companies including: Vitra, Ligne Roset, Cinna, Baccarat, Sector Sport Watches, Tai Ping, Gaia & Gino, Belux, and Swedese.
Born in 1963 in Tel Aviv, Arik Levy graduated in industrial design in 1991 at the Art Center Europe in Switzerland. After a trip to Japan, he moved to Paris where he created, with the graphic artist Pippo Lionni, the firm 'L-Design' which develops graphics, industrial designs, etc. In 2001, with the Swedish manufacturer Vitra, he created the furniture and the lighting for the Cartier headquarters in Paris. He now works for companies such as Vitra, Ligne Roset, Cinna, Baccarat, Secor Sport Watches, Tai Ping, Gaia 1 Gino, Belux and Swedese to name a few.
