Nathan Sawaya is a professional LEGO artist and former LEGO Master Model Builder and he spent 3 months constructing a 10,000 piece, life size (6-foot-tall) replica of Han Solo Frozen in Carbonite almost entirely out of dark gray LEGOs.

Forget those silly jigsaw puzzles. When you need to waste some time, go and get out all your old LEGOs and build some new worlds.

Also a note for those criticizing this, note he was a LEGO Master Model Builder. As in he was paid more money than most blue collar workers to do this kind of thing. Hell, if I was paid $50K a year to play with toys, I’d do it too.

My mum always used to yell at me when I built something with lego and never took it apart and built something else because it meant she had to buy more lego…

Get some more lego mate! That one is definately a keeper.

I wonder, is the model hollow?

Stop wasting time on lego people!!

Give us a life size replica of a Star Destroyer. Now that would be something for the books.

Come to think of it, would there be enough Lego bricks in the world to build that?

I love it when people bash other people, and call them a “looser”. Why don’t you get a frickin dictionary and learn how to spell yourself, loser. You’re not perfect either, obviously.

To those of you who have posted criticism and ridicule of this achievement:

Let me know when you’ve invested 3 months of your time and effort in something that you think is cool. I’ll come over and try to make you feel bad about it with cracks about “needing sex”.

Then you’ll see how stupid it makes you to use this man’s success against him.

If this Han Solo replica really were as unremarkable and insignificant as your comments imply, you wouldn’t have come here to piss all over it. You wouldn’t be able to feel good about yourself for having thrown a stone at what is clearly a much taller and stronger wall than your own.

Getting laid is as easy as clicking to match.com.

Grow up.

That’s pretty impressive, not a Star Wars fan myself, but got to love that someone would have put so much effort into making something so cool.
And how fantastic must it be to get PAID to play with Lego? Wish I’d have played more when I was younger, and visited Legoworld and such.

And the obligatory note to the losers putting this guys work down… get a life yourself, honestly coming here just to waste time writing stupid comments like “He needs to get laid” You should do the same yourself and stop wasting our time.

well damn, if it isn’t the most pretentious thing to tell someone they don’t have a life while you post comments on their blog…

If you anonymous guys are getting so much tail why are you posting on this blog? Answer: YOU’RE NOT GETTING ANY AND IT SADDENS YOU.

Replicating Star Wars stuff in Lego doesn’t much interest me, but I still respect the effort put into it. And if you like money, I bet this is worth some.

I’d hang that right in the bathroom, right behind the throne.

Very cool indeed.
