This cool new yet quite retro inspired Edison Table Lamp is a gigantic, oversized Edison light bulb with a glass bulb shade, metal base, and it plugs in for power - no need for a giant light socket. Now if you want this thing to emit that antique Edison-style warm yellow lighting, they now make modern, old-fashioned LED Edison Light Bulbs that will work perfectly in this.

As a related side note of interest, here's a link to a live cam of the The Centennial Light Bulb, the world's longest-lasting light bulb (not an Edison), that has been left on and burning since 1901 at the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department in Livermore, California.
