How does it send LESS trash to the landfill? Isn't it the same amount, just squished?
It sends the same amount in terms of weight, but less in terms of volume. Some places are starting to go to a per-bag charge though.
They break it open andrake it around when it gets to the dump. I don't get it, unless people want to keep rotting food in their home longer
It's for people who don't like taking out the garbage all the time and for people who don't like spending extra money on bags.PaysForItself.
Just don't put food that could rot quickly in it!
Kitchen trash cans are for food, what are you supposed to do with food you want to throw away? I think this product is lame.
to dispose of food you can compost then it doesnt end up in the trash can/landfill at all.
