While traveling, attempting to brew a delicious cup of true loose-leaf tea can be quite tricky, but not when you bring along one of these cool new Tuffy Steepers.

The Tuffy Steeper is a collapsible, silicone tea steeping basket that is designed for easy storage, travelers and tea drinkers on-the-go. Simply uncollapse and insert the Tuffy Steeper into your mug, add your favorite loose-leaf tea, pour in some boiling water, replace the lid and let it brew perfectly right in your cup. When finished, the lid doubles as a saucer to hold the infuser basket to prevent drips. Now can enjoy loose-leaf tea no matter where life's adventures take you and it's even great for sitting around the office as well.

I actually own one of these and really love it. It's very compact, easy to use and useful for so many different situations. Check out some of the photos I took to see it in action! If you're wondering what tea that is brewing, it's Green Twisted Spears Tea from the Tea Spot. It's really good.

I just got a tuffy steeper as a birthday gift from a friend that knows I am a true tea snob. I travel with an old Norelco Hot Spot (self contained for heating water), and the tuffy fits inside . . . I use one of the storage containers for my loose-leaf [lychee] black tea and I am set and good to go. I used to also pack one of my IngenuiTeas, but this is so much more compact.
