Vacuum pumps for your wine are a waste of money! In a study at the University of Michigan, the consensus was that using a pump was worse than just sticking the cork back in the bottle and doing nothing.

I find that using a wine VACUUM my wone stays fresher much longer than it would without using the vacuum
