Everytime I go anywhere, for one reason or another, I always find that I am desperately in need of a pen. Of course, I never think to actually carry one with me and I have to resort to bumming or stealing them from others. I'm sure many of you have the same problem as me and I'm excited to let you know that there is a solution to this problem and it's amazingly ingenious.

The cool new Original Wallet Pen is a tiny solid sterling silver pen that can clip into that empty space in the fold of every wallet. We all carry our wallets everywhere we go, so now we will always have a handy pen ready to go as well when we need to jot down a note, a phone number, a memo, a reminder, an inspiration, a ransom, an autograph or just for drawing while bored on napkins at restaurants. Very cool idea.

Wallet Pen - Cool. Why not just buy a $5 space pen REFILL; attach a metal pencil clip (from an old mechanical pencil, $0.5) to the refill with heat shrink tubing (about $0.5 worth, for making electrical connections or repairing damaged insulation on copper wiring): same thing for $39 less.

Nice idea but opening and closing it to expose the point always snaps off the top half of the pen.

Pen clogs because it is not used regularly, requiring much hard pressing and scraping on the paper to get a word written after storage. Not handy because of this trait.

Also, normal use inside a wallet both in the wallet fold and attached in an inside pocket allowed it to escape many times.

Now it's gone forever.

I need a better device. This is too expensive to allow it to fall away in normal use.
