National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Advent House Calendar

The National Lampoons Christmas Vacation Advent House Calendar is a beautiful handmade replica virtually identical to the Advent house seen in the holiday comedy classic National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. These amazing decorative houses are made on a first comissioned, first built basis, and feature 1/4" wood, windows designed from basswood, real brick and mortar exterior siding, electric wiring to illuminate the entire house from door to tower and 24 dated windows that can be opened to reveal an image for each day of Advent. After you commission a house to be built, the makers provide you with a link with building status photos and details. This house is sure to become the centerpiece of your Christmas decorations and a timeless piece that you and your family will enjoy for generations to come.

This rare holiday collectible will go perfectly this season with your collection of other Clark W. Griswold memorabilia like the infamously cool Moose Mugs and the Griswold Blackhawks Jersey. You can also light up your home in true Griswold fashion with the Mr. Christmas - Synchronized Lights and Sounds of Christmas.

Happy Holidays! :)

Raymond, do you think you will be able to have houses done and shipped to people by this Christmas. I realize that answer obviously depends on demand but I am sure people may want to know when they can expect to get them before shelling out the big bucks you are asking. I think the fact that the Duncans made people by a year in advance really ticked a lot of people off.

GUYS! I FOUND A SITE THAT IS SELLING ADVENT HOUSE FOR $425.00 and says it will have it buy this XMAS. They may not be as nice as Raymond\\\'s but are cheaper and we will have them in time for XMAS. Sorry raymond but we all can\'t wait for you to tell us how many hundres of dollars you are going to charge us and still not get them in time for Christmas. Also these have 24 windows and then the door not 22 like Raymond\'s.

Thanks for the post about the alternate site.

Raymond - I am still interested in your version. So, please keep going. I would pay more for the brick model. And, I would feel better about buying from our neighbors in Pawley\'s Island, SC. Thanks.

I'm glad someone else is doing them. It is smaller than the one Duncan had. But if anyone does pick one up. I hope you'll enjoy. FYI - If you look at the pictures it only has 22 windows ad the door. Not 24 as the above guest says. But that is what stays true to the house from the movie.

Raymond,
You never answered the earlier post if you thought you would be able to provide people with houses this Christmas. Your house is beautiful compared to the one on the alternate site but waiting a year and half is a long time to wait. Thanks.

Well, I could get a couple of them made by Christmas. I would wait till ship them next November though. When a house is finished it would ship. Waiting that long after purchasing would be ridiculous.

Raymond, I would be very interested in buying one of these from you, if not this year then possibly next year. I too would like the brick version, my shipping would be to Wann, Oklahoma. Your version looks amazing!

Hi guys. I just checked out the other house - it can't compare to Raymond's. The detail and workmanship just aren't there. Also, did anyone notice it's a mere 5" deep?! It would topple over if you slam the front door too hard! Not sure how a flat house would look on a big table near the tree. Not very realistic. Just my opinion, but you get what you pay for. I'm going to wait and pay for something that is heirloom quality. It should be kept in mind that just a little over a month ago, we had no hope for an Advent House after receiving our notices. This all came together with Raymond only a week or so ago, and to expect him to have 15 or so houses made before Dec. 1 is crazy. Raymond, I'll wait however long it takes for one of yours -- please put me on the list. And thank you!!

Hey, guys! We'll we're set to launch the website this weekend. Plus, we should have th price ready for everyoen to make their decision then. It's been hard to turn this whole thing around in to weeks, but we're game.

The website is:
http://www.ChristmasAdventHouse.com

For deposits, we'll be taking MC/Visa/AMEX/Discover/PayPal.

The site will feature plenty of photos of the house from all angles. Please remember, this is the version many have seen on our Christmas Display website (and our own private remake). There may be a slight variation in the construction but it will be virually the same.

We'll also update you on what images we're using for the house, since copyright laws must be honored.

Thank you to everyone who has given us such great feedback and given us the drive to pursue building the Advent House for everyone.

Thanks, Suesan! Best of luck to you as well.

To everyone else. We have the website up and are ready to take orders. The house is currently offer in brick only. The cost is $595. A deposit of $200 is required to commission the construction of a house. We've tried to keep the cost as low as possible.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know.

If you have previously emailed requesting to be placed on our list, please re-email as we do not have access to the computer with the list at the moment.

Raymond - I just sent you an email to place an order. The site and the house look awesome. Thanks again for deciding to go forward with this.

My wife and I were talking about Christmas parties today.

Raymond how much is shipping going to cost on top of the $595.00 any chance you will make a smaller/cheaper version for those who can't afford that.
By Tom - 1 Year Ago
Raymond
Tom, I'll have the shipping costs this week. We have to bring the current house in for packing to determine the cost. I'd really like to do a cheaper one without the real brick. That is what drives up the price. I can't make any promises just yet on a smaller version. I'd have to redesign the plans for it, which would take quite some time. Please send me your email address through the website.

Raymond, Will you be offering a version that is the same size but with a less expensive exterior then the brick?
