Buddha Bowl - Ultimate Bowl For Noodles, Soup or Rice

The temperatures are getting cooler now as we head into the fall and winter months and that must mean soup season is starting soon. Who doesn't love soup, right? Well, I found the ultimate bowl that is not only great for hearty winter soups, but also for noodles, rice, ice cream, cereal and even coffee or hot cocoa. This incredible multi-function bowl is called the Buddha Bowl and it's designed to rest naturally in the palm of your hand. When you combine soothing colors (olive, pacific, aubergine, black bean, and tofu), a comfortable shape, mmmm, soup and dishwasher safe ceramic, you truly will be in a tranquil moment of zen.

This would be too hot too hold with soup inside, Especially if said soup was heated in the microwave with the bowl.

It depends on if it is thick enough or not. Most soup bowls have zero handles, so this is sort of better. Great cereal or ice cream bowl though.

I think they are really cool looking but 20 bucks for a bowl is a little pricey if you ask me.

I was tipped off about another artist/designer ( **Poplar Studios, also in Vancouver B.C) that\'s been making this cup & noodle bowl design for a bit longer than Flavour Design...
Finding it difficult to discern from Poplar\'s website which cup I\'d like better, the original or the B.Bowl -- I bought both!
I must say, while the BBowl cup is sublimely stylish, it\'s not as practical as I thought it would be. First, it\'s not as deep as I\'d hoped, and with a big bump in the inside to accomodate the handle, I can\'t easily use it for food items. The squatness of the cup creates a huge surface area that quickly cools down hot liquids and makes it easy to spill said hot liquids. Owwie!
The original ( \'latte bowl\' on above site) is far more stunning in person, than on the website, deeper, more stable and far more comfortable to hold that I thought it would be from the picture...while it is not quite as sleek/modern in line, it does have a unique, sophisticated charm.
SO-- the BBowl is looking good in my cupboard, and the Original \"Latte Bowl\" is my new daily work/play mug -- go for it instead!
( Also bought the poplar studios\' udon bowl which my husband Adores for lots of tea!)
