I'm always on the lookout for strange and unusual plants. Here's the latest, the Nematanthus AKA The Goldfish Plant ($22). This unique indoor plant is appropriately named for the cool little orange fish-shaped blooms it produces. It would definitely make a nice gift for an aquarium lover I guess, but definitely keep it away from cats!  -  ( 1 Comment )

I have two of these; one has variegated leaves in light green and white, both bloom with 'golden' fish. They trail when you let them grow so they make fantastic hanging plants, if you want to fill the pot even more, just cut ends of larger branches and stick them in the pot again.
