I have a little gray cat with a raccoon tail named Nyla and she's very sweet, but I would trade her away in a heartbeat for an Ashera - World's Largest, Rarest and Most Exotic $20,000 House Cat. The Ashera is like a mini-Leopard, spots and all, but it's really a cool blend between an African Serval and the Asian Leopard Cat bred with a domestic cat. This giant house cat can reach weights up to 30 pounds, can be walked on a leash, is highly intelligent and surprisingly gets along well with people and children. The downside of an Ashera is of course the $20,000 price tag and the fact that when the cat is just "playing" I will be getting chased through the neighborhood being filmed from the air by Discovery Channel. One cool kittie though.

Google around a bit and you'll find that the Ashera is basically the same as the Savannah - though likely only a second generation. Those can be had for less than $1000 from a reputable breeder.

You should also be aware that some states have laws against hybrid animals such as these which forbid their purchase, importation or transport. For example Massachusetts - Damn you do gooders. Don't you know you're keeping me from having such a fabulous pet to walk around the neighborhood... and scare the little dogs I see everyone walking?!

I would love to breed it with the normal house kitty. It would be cool to have a Huge house kitty. Just beware the catnip when you have a cat that big...

ITS CUTE!!!! wouldn\'t mess with it though! it just looks like a wild cat, but smaller. I really see no big deal about it...though it would be cool to say I own one of those!

I think they are a waste of money. Yes, they are beautiful to look at. But think of all the homeless cats that need a loving home, that you could buy with all that kind of money! I have adopted many beautiful and wonderful cats. The last one I adopted was so gorgeous that people first meeting him asked what breed he was and if he was a show cat. He was a dometic cat. Very smart, loving, and terrific personality!
I would rather adopt a homeless cat anytime, than spend my money on a \"Trophy\" of whats in my bank account.

What a beautiful cat but what sort of personality do they have? Early days yet to \'know\' whether they really are good pets! By the way, if you would trade your sweet little Nyla for another cat just because it is a bit more glamorous then perhaps a pet is not really your thing? They are not toys!

Where in F***ing hell would you get a litter box that big!?
And cleaning it would Suck!... Granted, you can teach it to use the toilet (my buddies actually flushes!).. but god forbid you gotta go while its going, cats dont like being interupted...

and huge fist sized hair balls is not something im into..

though...how about next lets shrink a Rhino to that size! walk em around on a leash and have em graze and shit on my neighbors yard! Now were living in the 21st century!...

(is it normal that i wonder how a this new breed of cat tastes?... come on, its new... have tried eating just about everything else... i wanna be the first to take a bite of this thing)

If you read the website you can come to some interesting conclusions

Its possible that the Ashera is cloned, and / or genetically manipulated. I wouldn't be surprised if they are bred sterile. Wouldn't want anyone to get any free offspring after paying 20,000

dang...
