Remember that awesome Christmas Lights Gone Wild video from last year? The homeowner spent nearly two months and $10,000 to hook up and synchronize 25,000 lights to Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "Wizard in Winter" - Source: Snopes. Well here at Green Head HEADquarters I don't have that kind of money nor the time, so I found the next best thing.

If you want to inexpensively synchronize your holiday lights to match the rhythm and music of 20 Christmas carols you need to get the cool and easy to setup Mr. Christmas - Lights and Sounds of Christmas. It's basically a small electronic device with six power outlets and a speaker that you can either stake into the ground or mount on the side of your home. Simply plug your light strands and assorted light-up decorations into the power outlets, select the music you want to play or set it to random and watch in sheer awe as your house begins to animate in a full blown holiday extravaganza of dancing lights and music! I'm sure your neighbors will absolutely love it as well.

I just got two of these at Costco. Now I haven't open them up yet but I want to know if you can get two running at the same time because we have 10 different sections of lights. Thanks

I just got one for my huge light setup. My neighbors are going to both be amazed, and be pissed (some are annoying people who call the cops on me for no reason and others love me like a son).

instead of trying to figure out how to hook 2 of these together, first figure your load. This unit will carry 12 amps or 2 amps per channel, 120 volt a/c X 2 amps = 240.00 watts per channel. I leave myself 10% just to be safe. Most standard mini lights pull between 25 and 45 watts.. Check the rating on the package. LED strings pull very few watts 5 to 12. Maybe this will solve the problem

I connected my lights yesterday and turned on the unit; it worked great. When I turned it on tonight to show some friends the songs and lights went into "hyper mode"...playing twice as fast as they should have. I turned it off and on about 5 times and then it worked. Has anybody else had this problem? If so how did you correct it? A buddy bought one the same time and his also did it? Thoughts?

Dorothy, in addition to the above, I found them at Michaels and Garden Ridge. Garden Ridge had the best "off the shelf" price...but my wife, the consumate shopper, had a 40% off coupon for Michaels which brought total price down to $75 range...

Always wanted to do this, just can't see the $'s for LOR and such (not yet) - This is a good starting point. Got mine and a FM transmitter. Modified adding a phono jack and a switch so I can run both built in speaker and FM if I want and it works well. Tested the FM - about 2 houses away either side. So far I'm impressed. This will probably be the 'bug' that spurs me into bigger, more capable system .. You've got to start somewhere. Neighbors are either going to be impressed or think I'm nuts. Have things laid out all over basement to test and pick best plug for light display. We are definitely going to have a celebration in lights and sound at my house this year!

The kids and I watched \"Deck the Halls\" last night and I got the craving to give syncronized lights a shot. I picked up the GE unit at Canadian Tire today around 1:00pm for $99.98, by 3:00pm we had the lights up and the beast running, it\'s fantastic! I was surprised how quickly it attracted attention in the neighbourhood. I\'m going to have to do the FM Transmitter though. I\'ve already started to plan out next years light show ;o) Now I just have to convince Danny Devito to come and let me video him while he waves good night to the folks on my street!

Cheers

Well everything that going on the box is outside and hooked up - test run last night and neighborhood loves it. Needed a few more lights - Now this morning my box is going into the 'hyper mode' playing music blinking lights about double speed. Power off and on sometimes several times and things are normal. Love this little box but if this is any indication of its dependability perhaps something like LOR will be in the nearer future. Will wait and see how things go this season.

I bought the Mr Christmas deluxe light show and we are loving but I turning to just play music and the lights to NOT flash and then I came back 20 mins later and there were all off. Now I cannot get it to turn on. I checked all to see if we threw a breaker and that was not the case. Any ideas??
