The Green Head HQ office cat, Nykos the Cat, really needs a cool cat headquarters of his own to keep him occupied and off my keyboard. I found this absolutely cool new Cardboard Cat Cocoon that is made from simple laser-cut corrugated cardboard. The ingenious pod design allows cats to scratch, play, hide and sleep, while it gives us humans a great conversation piece and a little piece and quiet from our furry friends. Admit it, that's just cool.

my cat would “recycle” this thing in a weekend. I like the look of it though, wish it was cheaper, then I might consider.

I have one of these and my three cats love it. they scratch it, hide in it, and sit on top of it. the cardboard is plenty heavy duty.

I agree. Cheaper and I would buy one! I saw one at a store in La Jolla, CA and the cardboard is plenty sturdy!

This isn’t as green as the original designer’s artwork produced as far back as 2000 in Australia. Google Tracy Luff or Ivy Hill Gallery http://www.ivyhill.com.au/ and you will see examples of the work that may have inspired Warren Lieu. Tracy’s sculpture is award winning and her original idea, in fact the cat cocoon is almost identical in its structure but Tracy cuts all her genuine nth-generation post consumer cardboard by hand before assembly.
