Adagio Teas – Blooming Display Teas

I was looking to stock up on some more Red Tea, when I came across a bizarre and quite beautiful new product from Adagio Teas. Display Teas ($10) are basically tea leaves that are hand-wrapped, tightly packed and dried into a little tea ball. When steeped in hot water, the tea ball slowly unfurls its leaves into a magical blooming flower right before your eyes in your favorite glass cup or tea pot. It's not an everyday tea for sure, but Display Teas definitely make an excellent and interesting choice when serving guests. This kind of makes waiting for tea to brew a lot more fun.

Bah… Old stuff in a new box. Chinese Dragon Ball(or Phoenix ball) tea has been for thousands of years.

Ask for it at the Chinatown Herbalist.

Oh that’s really nice. It reminds me about what I’ve seen in Montreal’s Chinatown. It was a series of 12 different flowers associated with the zodiac sign. It was amazing. go see www.my-cup-of-tea.com
